Its been a while since I checked in. Im sorry. I am going to start posting some of my recipes here for your enjoyment..
I will start with my granola recipe. This is super easy and super good for you. Seriously just by implementing this into our diets my husband and I both have our cholesterol etc down to perfect levels... No medication used whatsoever.
Elly's Granola
1 container of whole old fashioned oats (not the quick cook kind)
Salt to taste
1/4 cup canola or sunflower oil (this is optional)
Approximately 2 cups of honey or maple syrup or combination of both
Nuts, flax seed, hemp seed, dried fruit, pretty much whatever you want to put in.. I do suggest if you are using fruit that you mix that in after the baking is completed.
1 tsp vanilla extract (flavored extracts are great too, we really like to use orange extract)
Mix together.... Put in large roasting pan or on cookie sheet and bake at 250 for between 2-3 hours until oats are nice and golden.
Cereal/granola
Its fantastic as a cereal, snack and on yogurt. Hope you enjoy this healthy alternative to store bought sugar packed cereals.
